Bornholm - The return

This Easter, me and my friends from Baetis Bonanza, returned once again to Denmark - Bornholm. With high expectations, and seeking to explore more of what this beautiful Island has to offer, we geared up and boarded on the ferry to get there.

This year we stayed on the west coast of Bornholm close to the famous fishing spot "Klympen" and "Levka", but due to the weather conditions we could not fish on these locations as we would have so much wanted to do. The wind was coming from the wrong direction the whole week, and it was quite a challenge to find fishing spots that offered good casting conditions. Bombarda and lure fishermen were totally dominating us the entire time with their long casts and resistance to the wind in their face. After seven days of intense fishing and little sleep, we did manage to land a few decent sized fish on our stay down there.

The week was well spent with good companionship, food and beverage like always!

Keep em wet! Catch & Release

Bornholm offers some hard waves and extreme wind conditions

All lined up, while having a short break!

A toast for an amazing week and friendship!

Trying to break the code; tying some new danish fly patterns!

My good friend Henrik busy at the vise

Well, at least we didn't run out of flies while down there...

First one in the net for Christoffer!

Measuring up and determining the k-faktor on the fish

Getting some tips from the local tackel shop should never be underestimated

Bornholm has stolen my heart with it's amazing fishing places.

We will be back for sure!

Big thanks to my friends; Christoffer, Kim, Henrik and Roar for an amazing week!
